TI TMS320C1x Fixed-point DSPs

The TMS320C1x generation of digital signal processors provides one of the lowest cost DSP solutions on the market. With a modified Harvard architecture and special DSP instruction set, 'C1x DSPs are used in applications requiring low cost, greater speeds and flexibility, in the automotive, industrial, communications and consumer markets.

In addition, the TMS320C1x family offers a rich selection of RAM, ROM, and OTP (one-time programmable) PROM versions, each with specific differentiating features.

'C1x Key specifications:

• On-chip RAM, ROM or OTP PROM for broad flexibility
• One of the lowest cost DSPs on the market
• Choice of five versions ('C10, 'C14, 'C15, 'C16, 'C17) for optimizing system costs
• Integration capability through cDSP
• Single-cycle multiply or ALU operations provide real-time computation for DSP and control algorithms
• Separate I/O select signal provides eight I/O ports using the 16-bit data bus
• 16-bit barrel shifter scales data in parallel with the ALU operations
